Fantasy Chess: Aktobe Open 2025 Rules

🏆 Two Leagues Available

1️⃣ Pro League

• Open to all.
• Entry Fee: $10 per entry.
• Total Prize Pool: Grows with every new participant (minimum guaranteed $100).
• Prize Distribution:
• 🥇 1st Place: Starts at $70, increases after the 10th entry.
• 🥈 2nd Place: Starts at $30, increases after the 10th entry.
• 🥉 3rd+ Places: Unlocked once we reach 22+ participants (top ~10% paid).

2️⃣ Amateur League

• Free to enter.
• Open for everyone.
• Prize: Top 2 finishers receive tickets (free entries) into the next Pro League contest.
• No cash prizes.

🧩 Team Selection

-Build your lineup of 6 main players (within a budget of $15,500) Add 3 substitutes (subs have no budget limit). Subs can only replace a main player if: • The sub is rated lower than the main player • The main player withdraws before Round 5 .

🏅 Scoring System

• Win: 1 point
• Draw: 0.5 point
• Loss: 0 points
• Your total score = sum of points by your 6 active players

🔒 Lineup Rules

• Edit your lineup any time before the tournament starts.
• Lineups lock at tournament start.
• Substitutions are based on the rules above.

⏰ Deadline

• All lineups must be finalized before 12:15 PM CET on June 22, 2025.

⚖️ Tiebreakers

If teams are tied:

1. Lower total cost of the 6 main players.
2. Lower total points earned by substitutes.
3. Lower combined tournament standings (i.e., better real-life finishes).

• All entries are final — no refunds after entry.
• Contest will be canceled and refunded if the official Aktobe Open 2025 is canceled.
